Association Management Center is seeking an Education Coordinator to join our team.
This role will support our client, American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (ASPHO).
The Education Coordinator will work closely with volunteers and staff to provide support for all educational and professional development initiatives within its medical subspecialty society.
ASPHO is the professional organization for physicians and other healthcare providers dedicated to improving the health and well-being of children with blood disorders and cancers.
Membership includes more than 2,000 physicians and other medical professionals.
Role ResponsibilitiesDevelop and apply proficient working knowledge of abstract and speaker management systems, educational and collaboration platforms, survey tools, Association Management Software (Impexium database), and other web and/or software-based technologies.
Coordinate communications with faculty and mentors including collection and tracking of conflict-of-interest disclosures and the implementation of the online speakers' portal.
Provide support and resources for mentoring programs and workforce related surveys.
Support the planning, development, evaluation, and record keeping of education products and programs including activities providing continuing medical education (CME) credit.
Support education and career development committees and management of faculty and subject matter experts (SME), by assisting with scheduling, logistics, material collection and distribution, meeting minutes, surveys, and to foster collaboration where necessary.
Serve as a liaison to client team members, service departments, partner organizations and customers regarding programs and initiatives, timelines, scheduling, and reporting.
Facilitate organizations' annual committee volunteer selection process.
Work with staff to ensure appropriate governance turnover timelines are coordinated and communicated to volunteers.
Attend the annual conference to assist with professional development programming and other supportive tasks.
Maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, consistency, and professionalism in project work and communications with members, volunteers, and other constituents.
Perform other tasks as assigned.

Experience:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
